Join the ACLU of Northern California as we support Moms United to End the War on Drugs in calling for an end to the drug war at a rally in Sacramento on October 13.

Wednesday, October 13
11 am to 1 pm
West Steps - State Capitol Building
Sacramento, CA 95814

Mothers, fathers, family members, healthcare professionals and individuals in recovery will gather to bring focus to our country’s failed drug policies and the havoc they have wreaked on our families. The rally is the culmination of a statewide campaign – and the beginning of a national campaign – to stop the violence, mass incarceration and overdose deaths that are the result of current punitive and discriminatory drug policies.

Learn more about the ACLU's drug law reform work. And remember, the ACLU urges you to vote "yes" on Proposition 19.

Moms United to End the War on Drugs is a campaign of A New PATH (Parents for Addiction Treatment & Healing), in partnership with Families ACT!, Broken-No-More and the Drug Policy Alliance.

It is very alarming that

It is very alarming that drugs and crime rate are greatly increasing, that is why I know how we, citizens are affected by this issue. Though it is hard to admit that this really happens we need urgent attention and action to this. In the beginning of this national campaign against violence, deaths due to drug overdose and other drug-related cases. On the other side, I am glad that there are alliances that the topmost goal is to eradicate drugs and crimes in our society. If all will be able to cooperate, I see no difficulty to achieve this goal. It is always been our own responsibility to prevent this problem away fro our respective home and family.
